Areas of the body where heat is lost in excess are often covered in hair (arm pits, head, groin). Basically there is a lot of blood flow to this area, so having hair there helps conserve heat.



Why have both male and female humans evolved hair on their sexual organs. What's the point of it?

to avoid horrible chafing when they go swimming in the salty seas.

It's the other way around. Humans have lost hair on the rest of their bodies.
