Do puppies have "underarm hair"??

I have a puppy thats turning 1 year this month but i just noticed he doesn't have any hair like under his front legs which i guess would be the equivalent to a human armpit.both "underlegs?" are the same and i just want to know if its normal or if it could be mites or something and most of all could it be serious. thanks.

It depends on the breed. But if they don't have it, don't worry, some do and some don't.

Don't worry, it's quite normal for them to be less hairy or not to have any hair "underarms/legs". Mine's been like that since birth and is now a happy healthy 10-year old.

If you're really worried, take him to the Vet, but only if he is doing things like scratching or biting the area, and if it looks sore.

no dogs are the same i suppose that's normal don't worry about it

It's normally quit thin under the arms of a short haired dog. I think it's because they move their arms all the time and it keeps it thinner.

Some dogs just do not have alot of hair on their legs close to their chests. If there are bumps or any bald spots I would check them out good.

Do puppies have "underarm hair"??

No, cause they have hair like EVERYWHERE!!!

As long as your puppy isn't showing signs of distress he should be OK. I have 2 dogs myself. But it would help if he has a flee collar on.You can also get him some flee or tick shampoo. But if it's red or looks infected you should take him to the vet to make sure.Or if he's not as active you should take him to the vet.

Its a sign of evolution. In a few million years your pooch will look just like you, minus the moustache.

Most, if not all, dogs have less hair under their "arms" than elsewhere. You only need to worry if the skin there looks red or inflamed.
