How to deter skunks from outside the house?

I know human hair is supposed to work for raccoons. Does anyone have any ideas about keeping skunks away?

Little White Worms in my Fish Tank?

I have a freshwater 10 Gal. Tank, and just the other day , i was feeding " Jack-Jack" ( my Jack Dempsey) and Larry ( Crawfish) when i bent down to eye level i sall that some algae has grown on the inside of the tank, only a little bit. Then when i looked closer they were little worms, white and semi-long probably ----- %26lt; that long, thin and about the width of a human hair, my dad tells me to wash out the cage again, but if there harmless, or eating the Algae i'll will let them stay. what are these little whit worms? i sall them before on my crawfish.

Little White Worms in my Fish Tank?

This is a common problem and an area where misinformation abounds.

About.com has this one 180% wrong, these are not planaria! Unfortunately this misinformation is just passed around the internet.

In the professional aquarium keeping business this has become a joke as these detritus worms are well known.

These are common Detritus worms and normally are not a problem. Under normally conditions these worms eat excess organics in the gravel.

However when seen in the water column it generally indicates a population explosion caused by to much organic build-up/decay. This can result in oxygen depletion for fish.

Please make sure and vacuum carefully to remove organic mulm and increase circulation as well.

Also it is important to make sure all your parameters such as Ammonia/ nitrites are in order too.

Please read this article for more current information about detritus worms, nematodes, annelids and more:

Little White Worms in my Fish Tank?

Planaria are flatworms, related to flukes and tapeworms. They are quite small, and if examined closely have eyespots as well as protrusions from the sides of their heads.

Although they do not harm fish, they love to feast on eggs, and therefore are dangerous if breeding egglaying fish.

The Real Problem

Even though Planaria do not harm fish, they are an indicator that the aquarium has a problem. They require a food source, which means there must be excess food wastes in the tank to support them.

If you have Planaria it's time to give your aquarium a thorough cleaning.

Pay particular attention to the substrate, as that's usually where they find their food. Make sure there are no dead plants, or other wastes in the tank.

You should also take a hard look at how much you are feeding your fish. Usually the excess waste the Planaria are living on is the result of overfeeding your fish. Reduce the amount you feed your fish, as well as the frequency of feedings.

Finally, once you've cleaned things up, be sure to continue with regular maintenance and water changes. A clean tank is the best defense against becoming overrun with Planaria.

Little White Worms in my Fish Tank?

Those are parasites. Has anything died in your tank recently that you didnt clean up? yeah i had those and just left them. I heard that you have to treat them with some type of chemical or something. But i just left mine and nothing happened i have not seen them since. You should watch them and if they begin connecting onto your jack dempsey then you gotta do something about it. just go to like petco or something and buy some worm killer stuff

Little White Worms in my Fish Tank?

Actually, planaria looks like a white slug with an arrow shaped head, usually seen crawling on the glass. Usually harmless to fish and humans, though some species like to eat fish eggs and very small fry.

What you're describing sounds like nematodes. Whitish color, thin like a hair, and they look like an S swimming through the water. Harmless to fish and humans.

Both planaria and nematodes generally show up and multiply when the fish are being over fed and there's lots of gunk built up in the gravel/substrate. You can also bring them into your tank via plants. Best way to get rid of them, increase your water changes to once a week, being especially aggressive with the gravel vacuums. And cut back on how much you're feeding the fish. Once a day, what the fish will eat in about 5 minutes is enough. Even skip a day or two during the week.

Increased gravel vacs and cutting back feedings will eventually starve the nematodes or planaria, as well as manually removing them through the water changes.

Generally when you can see a "parasite" swimming around your tank, it's not going to bother your fish. Not always the case, but usually they're fine.

Here's a link with some descriptions of some tank critters:

Only 3 Calculus question regarding population, Please help?

The answers I閳ユ獡 getting are different. Can someone please help me get the right answer? Thanks a lot

--------------------------------------...

2. The population of US was 3.9 million in 1790 and 178 million in 1960. if the rate of growth is assumed proportional to the number present, what estimate would you give for the population in 2000? (Compare your answer with the actual 2000 population, which is 275 million?)

--------------------------------------...

4. Human hair from a grave in Africa proved to have only 51% of the carbon 14 of living tissue. When was the body buried? See problem 5)

--------------------------------------...

5. (carbon Dating) all living things contain carbon 12, which is stable, and carbon 14, which is radioactive. While a plant or animals is alive, the ratio of these two isotopes of carbon remains unchanged, sinc

Only 3 Calculus question regarding population, Please help?

I can help you with question 2. You have't completed questions 4 and 5.

First get the slope of the curve of the populations, where the x-axis is people (in millions to avoid having so many numbers) and the y-axis is the year.

m= (178-3.9)/(1960-1790) = 1.0241

since the formula of a grach is (y-Y)=m(x-X) just replace the terms x and y with two points.

(y-Y)=m(x-X)

(y-178)=(1.0241)(2000-1960)

y-178=1.0241(40)

y=218.965

Since we did the y-axis in millions then the assumed population is

218 965 000 million people. Notice I'm rounding to the 6th decimal but if you want a more accurate number just recalculate all I did and write all the decimals.

I need new cutters should I get dog shears or human shears?

I have to get new shears this week but I'm not sure what ones I should get. I like my dog's hair short. And I use shears on my son, not all the time and cleaned ofcourse. I have never used dog shears. I don't knwo what ones to get or if their is a differance between dog and human shears or clippers if any. So can anyone tell me the differance between dog and human clippers and what ones would be best to stand up to use on my dogs. Thanks!

I need new cutters should I get dog shears or human shears?

Either shear can be used for either species....I use the dog clippers on my husband!

Unless it is a professional pair, they are the same clipper, with different labels..

I need new cutters should I get dog shears or human shears?

I think they are the same

I need new cutters should I get dog shears or human shears?

Dog shears are probably more stirdy. But I can't see why you can't cut human hair with them as long as you have the hair attachments

I need new cutters should I get dog shears or human shears?

There is no difference. If you want your scissors to hold an edge then your want hard steel, the harder the metal of the scissors, the longer they hold an edge and the more they will cost. Or go to Sally shop or some supply store for your scissors. My mom has some sheers that are over $100.00 and some that are $12.00. But when she grooms me up for a show I look very handsome!

Look in the computer under canine grooming that might help you.

Cheers Bogey

I need new cutters should I get dog shears or human shears?

we use professional shears for our dog, he doesn't like the eletric clippers at all.the sound of it bothers him so much that both groomers weren't able to groom him anymore, he got stressed out so bad. they only trim his nails for us eversince.

I need new cutters should I get dog shears or human shears?

One time we bought people clippers at wal-mart from our dogs. Well they did not go though the hair. Buy dog clippers then you can use them on your dog or people!

I need new cutters should I get dog shears or human shears?

Get a clipper for dogs. They have stronger motors. www.petedge.com has some great ones. Anything by Wahl or Andis is good. I use both brands.

Should i wash my weave?

it's human hair

Should i wash my weave?

sure.... u can wash it, curl it, straighten it...anything u want....its not synthetic so u can do anything to it that u would to had it been your real hair...good luck !

Should i wash my weave?

yes

Should i wash my weave?

no- wayy trust me human or not. just get a new one my sis is acdicted to washing hair she did that and i got messed up [humman to]

Should i wash my weave?

they have special shampoos and spray conditioners for that, ask your beautician or your local beauty products salesperson

Should i wash my weave?

yea but u might have to stay under the dryer for like 2-3 hours depending wat type of human hair it is. AND DONT BLOWW DRY IT.never bloow dry ur weave it gets frizzy and jank.

Should i wash my weave?

it depeds on what type of hairstyle you have now if u have sew in weave or braids that you are plan on leavin in for along time then i would say yes wash it because u dont want your hair to get too dirty but if u have a style in that you are only going to leave in for a couple of weeks say like 2 or 3 weeks then i would say no u really dont need to wash the weave

Should i wash my weave?

of course you can ... my mom does it all the time

How to keep rabbits out of a garden?

does anyone know of a plant that deters rabbits from a vegetable garden? i heard about using dried blood, fox urine, and human hair (does this really work) and was wondering if there was something i could plant that would work.

How to keep rabbits out of a garden?

You should plant carrots. Rabbits HATE carrots.

You could also try hanging a dead rabbit in your garden. That should deter some curious little hares.

How to keep rabbits out of a garden?

BB Gun

How to keep rabbits out of a garden?

Get a cat.

How to keep rabbits out of a garden?

Not sure about any plants, they will likely just avoid it and go for the others still... I've heard about diluting hot pepper sauce with water and spraying it on to keep rabbits and others away.

How to keep rabbits out of a garden?

Aluminum pie plates---you know, the throw away kind? Suspend them along the outer boarder--the rabbits do not like the reflection or the sound they make when touched. Good luck!

How to keep rabbits out of a garden?

barb wire fence ;-)

How to keep rabbits out of a garden?

We bought some chicken wire fencing and enclosed our vegetable garden to protect it, its 4 feet tall and so far nothing's gotten in the enclosure to eat anything.

I've heard that planting marigolds around the border will help.

How to keep rabbits out of a garden?

I have seen plants at Walmart garden center that say (keyword say) they repel dogs %26amp; rabbits, not sure what they are or if they work.

If you can invest in some small animal fencing to keep them out that will be a good investment in the long run if you plan to keep your garden there for more than this year. Chicken wire is good but flimsy if you have deer nearby (they can jump pretty high so it would need to be over 7' high!)

How to keep rabbits out of a garden?

i have this same problem with rabbits, squrells and turtles, yesterday i planted merigolds around all my tomatoes, and places cloves of roasted garlic around the perimiter, supposedly they dislike the smell, this may work, well see!

How to keep rabbits out of a garden?

I use plastic hardware cloth three feet high and human urine around the border.

Helpies pleaseee?

okay, well lets see i ordered a human hair wig..but i got teh wong color, can you color them?

Helpies pleaseee?

if its real hair you can you can also make it straight or curly

Weave and Working Out?

I am currently working out and I would like to get a full head weave sewn in. I would like to use straight (human) hair. My beautician advises against this, she says that it won't look good after my workouts, because of all of the sweat.

Is taht true?

Weave and Working Out?

Not true at all! Sewn in weaves actually are better for working out than glued in etc, because you can wash them and style them as your own hair. I have had them before and washed them etc and they looked very natural no matter what I did. As long as your hair is high quality it should not be a problem at all.

Weave and Working Out?

Thanks for picking my answer I hope it helped! Report It

Weave and Working Out?

No........Not at all. Use astro turf instead of sewing your head to a normal rug. Then the weave of it won't matter and it will still look great even in a hurricane.

Tips on styling a wig?

I have a human hair wig, about shoulder length that needs some body. Can you use curling irons, or hot rollers? Need this for a play. Thanks!

Tips on styling a wig?

If it is human hair you can treat it almost like you would if it was on your head. Just don't make a practice of doing it often. as it is not attached as your own hair. lol

I have been undergoing chemo since Aug of this year. I have no problem wearing a wig its just finding the right one that looks good. I have gone to the ACS and looked at the catalog tlc , i dont think that I am being picky. Its just I want to look 28 years old not the age of my mother.

I bought one wig ( human hair ) once that was really nice but after time the wig started to frizz and got really dry. I was using the right treatment for the wig and following all instructions , so i was upset when the wig got like that.

I am just looking for some good websites , please dont tell me to google this , if anyone has truelly used google they know thousand of sites come up.

If you now of any good sites please let me know

Help finding a good wig while chemo?

I have never needed to wear a wig myself, but I have read great things about Raquel Welch's wig line, called hair-u-wear (link below). That having been said, I think that you'd be okay with pretty much any well known retailer selling wigs online (just google "wigs" and look at all the links that come up).

Here is the website, and I hope you feel better soon and recover with speed. Good luck and have get well!

How do i keep deer away from my dahlias?

i've tried liquid repellent, fencing and human hair...

How do i keep deer away from my dahlias?

purchase a large chest type freezer and a 20 ga. shotgun, drain and butcher near flower bed. this will fill your freezer and end the deer problem all at once and your flowers will enjoy the extra nutrition.

How do i keep deer away from my dahlias?

mmmm good tucker, kill and eat them

How do i keep deer away from my dahlias?

Sprinkle human hair around them. (Easy to get from the beauty shop or barber shop.)

How do i keep deer away from my dahlias?

Go to a garden center and check the different deer repellents they have to offer. I just picked up on that you spray on the leaves. Haven't had a problem since I started using it! Whoops, I just noticed you already tried the liquid stuff! Sorry, it worked for me! Maybe someone else will be able to help you! Good Luck!

How do i keep deer away from my dahlias?

I,ve had relatively good luck with two products which are granular-you hand cast it all around and into the garden beds. The product names are organigro and milorganite. the are both made from sewage and the odor discourages the deer. I have also found that changing the product you use, whether it be a liquid or granular or hair, seems to help. Apparently the deer become accustom to a repellent over time. Good luck. They're voracious!!

How do i keep deer away from my dahlias?

Put some Doggie PooPoo around the area. They will think Coyotes or Wolves are around.

How do i keep deer away from my dahlias?

I live out in the counrty and deer used to be bold enough to hop my garden fence and eat my veggies. No more now. I got a VERY big dog and he barks alot. That worked for me, You could try planting Maragolds around them, I heard once deer don't like Marigolds. I don't either so I never tried it.

How do i keep deer away from my dahlias?

i'd use my trusty .270 Winchester, they come in my yard.. but they don't leave it!

Sally's Clip in Extensions...?

Does anyone know if these extensions are worth the price?

http://www.sallybeauty.com/100+Premium+R...

Sally's Clip in Extensions...?

no way, i had them and they weren't very durable.

you're better off with sew in or glue in at a salon.

i wasted $130 bucks lol!

*Hope this helps!!*

%26lt;3

Sally's Clip in Extensions...?

no! ewwww just let your hair grow.

Sally's Clip in Extensions...?

they are good for a short period of time. And you can't do anything to do like style wise. They are expensive and don't stay in good; I would suggest glue in- but i would do conditioning treatments so the glue doesn't kill your hair or scalp. it's going to hurt with the glue taking it out at times, so you have to wait til they fall out or you have to use conditioner to get them off- the only good thing about the clip in is that you can take them out and put them in whenever you want without trouble- if you really want clip in I would suggest the jessica simpson brand- they are REALLY good and yet they are expensive they are better then the ones at sallys and they last longer.

Sally's Clip in Extensions...?

Yes...Because at Salons they charge from $500.00 to $1000.00 and higher...The extensions at sallybeauty.com you get ten 18 inch real human hair extensions you clip in yourself..So it is the least expensive extensions I've seen..and easy to use and take care of :)

Sally's Clip in Extensions...?

ooh no you dont want those glue ones they chopped your hair my friend did that one and ooh my god her hair looks bad even up to this day she regrets it . The glue shoot it looked a mess and she went to a professional. She loved mine I have the clip INS I have long and medium and if I want fuller I put them together and it looks nice and they do stay in if you put them in right believe me I tested it out on a motorcycle ride and a bar fight .on the bar fight they just moved a little out of place but not that much as I expected too.And the price at the mall were 79.00 for any hair length you get 2 hair pieces and one shampoo and one hair contd to spray after and a brush to maintain

Guys 17-19 if you found out a girl you liked had to wear a wig b/c of a medical issue would you stil

Lets say you had a crush on a girl you thought was really pretty, and sweet, and funny, and charming, but you didn't talk to her that much, so you didn閳ユ獩 really know that much about her, for example what she likes to do for fun, who her friends are, what she does on the weekend, stuff like that.

What if you found out that she had to wear a wig because of a medical issue? If the wig was glued on to her head, and looked real, was made out of real human hair, would you be freaked out still? Would you stop liking her? Would she seem less attractive to you?

Would it be hard for you to like her since you didn閳ユ獩 really know her, you were just attracted to her and you found that out? Would you date her?

Please be honest! This is very important to me. Don't sugar coat your answers, just be honest.

Guys 17-19 if you found out a girl you liked had to wear a wig b/c of a medical issue would you still like her

if i truly liked her and was not justy attracted to her then i would still like her. What i look for in a woman is more thn just whats on the outside. if she was sweet and charming and liked me for who i was then h*** yes i would still like her.

Guys 17-19 if you found out a girl you liked had to wear a wig b/c of a medical issue would you still like her

I worked with a guy who's wife had her head shaved. She looked kind of hot but I really couldn't tell, I kept mentally trying to put hair on her. Then she let her hair grow out and looks pretty average. I think she seemed alot cooler with the shaved head and I think she should shave it again.

Hope this is helpful.

Guys 17-19 if you found out a girl you liked had to wear a wig b/c of a medical issue would you still like her

i would..!def..u go boy!(=

Guys 17-19 if you found out a girl you liked had to wear a wig b/c of a medical issue would you still like her

yes I would still date her because everybody body gone change at a time in they life but it not whats on the outside its who you is in the inside medical issue or not it dont change how you feel in the inside

Guys 17-19 if you found out a girl you liked had to wear a wig b/c of a medical issue would you still like her

If i fell for the girls looks and i found out that she wore a wig, then i wouldnt go for her. If i truly fell in love wit her, then i wouldnt care about the wig.

Guys 17-19 if you found out a girl you liked had to wear a wig b/c of a medical issue would you still like her

Go love her with all your heart.

If she has cancer (chemothearpy make you loss all your hair) and doesn't have too much longer to live, show her the best that love can possibly be and make her last few months the best she has ever had. If she lives through it, she will always remember who lived through it with her and you will alwasy have a special place in her heart.

She'll be happy and never forget you for it and you will be happy too!

Why does unwanted hair need to be removed using?

waxing or time-consuming Braun-ing, when biotechnology should have already (S/h/a) been able to create an ingestable capsule that finds the base of unwanted hair and eliminates the base itself (b3), further able to identify the name of the body-part from inside the body, not outside? This would be something similar to laporoscopy but ingestable or injectable and no wider or heavier than a standard capsule. As it traverses through the body it should be able to relay pictures, including measurements, and identify the human body area (hba) where the capsule is traversing the blood stream at present?

Why does unwanted hair need to be removed using?

I think if you can develop technology that can identify cells to that precision, you might want to start with destroying malignant cells before unwanted hair.

Just a thought.

Why does unwanted hair need to be removed using?

Good idea..

Invent one...

Why does unwanted hair need to be removed using?

Problem is that the arteries and veins are merely capilaries near the hair root, and the device wouldn't fit there. You would still need a laser inside to destroy the follicle and you wouldn't be able to power it.

If you tried to do it chemically, you would still need quite a bit of a chemical and some way to identify what sort of hair it is that you art trying to destroy.

Why does unwanted hair need to be removed using?

Another idea may be dipping yourself in a sort of solution and there shouldn`t be any side effect...you are a genius..

How do i care for my weave?

its not human hair and my ends are really brittle and nappy. What can i do to improve my ends?? plzz....help!!!

ok, next time get human hair, it'll make your life easier, lol. For now all I can suggest is to trim the ends. Non human hair doesn't respond to conditioner and will melt with thermal tools.

Then how does your sense of human make you wise?

閳?or proves that you are a wise person indeed?

I might laugh at jokes but the butt of those jokes would often be people. I might learn form the funny situations caused by their errors, but in reality, wouldn閳ユ獩 I be laughing at the instances of human folly?

Besides, I have seen no treatise, a paper, or any theory formalizing humor as a proper method of learning and advancing in knowledge or wisdom. I have no doubt seen works of literature, both poetry and prose, solely dedicated to tickling the funny bones of our imagination, but never ever have I heard, or seen, a philosopher telling a joke. Have you?

Then may be philosophy is, in its essence, all about seriousness of life, and dryness of skin and hair. And that if I tell a joke to a philosopher I might be the only one laughing at the delivery of the punch-line, to fill the silence.

Isn閳ユ獩 that where humor proves certain people wise, it also prove some others fool, and thus making it an unwise method of getting wiser?

Then how does your sense of human make you wise?

If you don't think some are generally fools, then everyone is right! Or tragically many are incorrect but it is not their fault.

Look to any existentialist, and you will find volumes on the absurd, if not irony and the comic as phenomena.

But, as dry as some may be, I must disagree. Humor is most high in analytic philosophy. It is a science closer to stand-up than anything else. It would be ABSURD to believe "that a double success is a failure" (Parfit). Philosophy is not even possible without this. You say "ABSURD!" and I could then argue back "so what!"

Then again, look to the origin of the word "idiot" and prove to me that anyone today is not one. Our "wisdom" is much different, if at all.

Then how does your sense of human make you wise?

It doesn't it makes me Morecambe.

Then how does your sense of human make you wise?

Stretches looks at the length of question.

Ignores question.

Yawns.

Gets 2 points

Then how does your sense of human make you wise?

I think it is the other way on

In that you have to be "wise" to have a good sense of humour

Then how does your sense of human make you wise?

I've read this before in a book.

No sh%26amp;t Sherlock

Then how does your sense of human make you wise?

nice lapsus !!

Then how does your sense of human make you wise?

True, but humor still does show wisdom. Even this kind of humor shows knowledge of the benefit of laughing at the misfortune and embracing beauty and luck. Do you see what I mean?

Then how does your sense of human make you wise?

I highly doubt that those are your own words but jokes do differntiate between fools and wise peopple to aa degree but no man is truly wise

Then how does your sense of human make you wise?

So, you haven't ever heard or seen a philosopher telling a joke? I beg to differ. Maybe you are talking about renowned philosophers %26amp; their works. I know nothing about them. So I can't refute or confirm anything. But I've seen real, living, walking-talking philosophers in my life, say my maternal grandfather for one, who had seen life up close and personal and had a great sense of humour. He was able to see a problem clearly as it really was, not as it appeared to us. And believe me, there would be vast difference between the two at times. He was a highly spiritual man and it was evident in his face. Just watching him filled one with love %26amp; wonder. He loved cracking jokes, if only to put us all at ease for he knew we were in awe of him.

Life is not all seriousness from which fun %26amp; games should be banished. That sounds like Aurengzeb, the Mughal Emporer of India. He hated music or other art forms. Just read about him next.

Finally, it is not a 'method' by which to acquire wisdom. I am ready to believe now that it's something you're born with or not...just like many other things.

Hair %26amp; nails isn't correct - the skin shrinks back so they appear to have grown. Also the toilet paper - I think this would depend on the brand as some now do extra long rolls.

What Are The Negative Effects of Disbelief Upon The Human Body?

What Are The negative Effects of Disbelief Upon The Human Body?

As well as its many undesirable effects on society, disbelief is pernicious to the physical and spiritual well-being of individuals. To mention but, a few: living in constant sorrow, trouble and stress and other psychological diseases. The body goes through a rapid process of aging due to the spiritual suffering. Physical changes-dull hair and eye-colour, intense hair loss, baldness-appear in a young person, though a believer of the same age suffers none of these. For psychological reasons, the skin thickens, becomes hard and loses its flexibility in a short time. Soon the skin even begins to look unhealthy. There is no doubt that not adhering to the recommendations of the Qur'an about cleanliness have a great impact on this. These are the traits commonly seen in societies where people do not live by the morals of Islam, Christianity and Judaism. They are so widespread that they are considered to be natural phenomena.

You have no basis whatsoever for saying this. Put another way, it's total nonsense - and that's the kindest term for it.

However, your particular set of beliefs about the human body DO have various symptoms. You will notice that your eyes tend to be brown. Go to a hair supply store. Like one that is owend by the chinese people. sally's doesn't sell micro braid hair. I have a serious cat hair problem...any cat lovers out there?

I recently purchased a lovely duvet cover from Ikea for my down comforter.

I washed it before putting it on the bed and now it attracts cat hair like you wouldn't believe. It's a dark eggplant color and is a mostly cotton with some poly blend.

My cats love to take naps on the bed, which is fine, but I did not know that one piece of fabric could attract AND HOLD so much hair. A lint roller is not practical for a king sized comforter.

Short of taking it off, or washing it every other day, what can I do? I would like to hear solutions that are cat and human friendly (nothing that could possibly be toxic...we all need to sleep here safely :)

Thank you.

I have a serious cat hair problem...any cat lovers out there?

i use brush attachment on the vacuum to go over the bed cover.

I have a serious cat hair problem...any cat lovers out there?

I put my comforters in the dryer for 20-30 minutes and it seems to help a lot. Other than that, not much you can do -sorry!

I have a serious cat hair problem...any cat lovers out there?

We bathe and comb our cat [the furrier of the two]. It keeps the fur down to a bare minimum. We actually use the flea comb to comb him, which works better than the brush or normal cat comb.

I have a serious cat hair problem...any cat lovers out there?

I spray Static Guard on my furniture and that helps to keep the cat hair from sticking as much. Maybe that would work. Or maybe you could try lying a blanket down for your cats and maybe they will sleep on that.

I have a serious cat hair problem...any cat lovers out there?

Hindsight is 20/20 - you should have bought a comforter that is the same color as your cat. Or close to it. I have a similar color and my black cat is the one who sleeps with me on it. The hair is still there but you don't see it as clearly and that's half the battle!

Instead of a lint roller, use a lint brush. If your cat tends to sleep in one area, you won't have as much to do.

Turn it down when you're not in it and then put another sheet or blanket over it so the underside doesn't get hairy.

Keep the cat off the bed. (Silly suggestion but hey, it had to be said).

Get a new comforter.

Get a humidifier for your room. It might help.....

Do nothing. In time you might find that you don't care anymore. Honestly, this is the approach I often take. I get all freaky about my stuff and come up with wild plans to fix things. But then time passes and I find it's no longer as important as I once thought it was. So I lay in cat hair. So what? It's probably a good fiber source for me. LOL

I have a serious cat hair problem...any cat lovers out there?

I would try spraying the duvet cover with static guard, it is supposed to help repel the cat hair, try brushing your cats to help get rid of their loose excess hair, try switching cat food to a brand designed for indoor cats it keeps them from shedding so much, or you could try covering the duvet with a sheet to catch the cat hair. I have 2 cats and a dog and their fur gets everywhere! But I love them so I can live with a little hair on stuff!

I have a serious cat hair problem...any cat lovers out there?

Ikea do some lovely throws that you could put over your duvet for the cat to sleep on.

I have a serious cat hair problem...any cat lovers out there?

Perhaps you could buy a throw to compliment to duvet cover and pop it on when you're not using the bed? One that doesn't soak up cat hairs ;-P

On the bright side, at least your cat doesn't sleep on your pillow... mine does, but only when I'm in bed at the time :-D

I have a serious cat hair problem...any cat lovers out there?

try brushing d cat but dont mess her hair up but they will still keep droping hair its what cats do oh and plz if u really love your cat dont shave it plz

I have a serious cat hair problem...any cat lovers out there?

Dark colors attract lint, cat hair etc more than light colors - black is worst. Also, some types of fabric attract more than others. I had a similar problem, very furry cat, %26amp; what I did was just keep a lightweight blanket over the bed cover, you'll find that something like a thin cotton woven quilt, or a polyester fleece will wash up quickly (cotton releases the hair easiest, but the fleece drys quickly). You might have two, so one can be used a few days, then put in the wash, while you use the other. Then if you have friends or someone over %26amp; you want to show the eggplant duvet, just pull off the blanket %26amp; voila - its fur free!

I have a serious cat hair problem...any cat lovers out there?

Cover it with a sheet when your away.It will cut down on the amount of hair.

I have a serious cat hair problem...any cat lovers out there?

Well, I did cat rescue work for years, and at one time had 8 cats of which 3 were long-haired. I still have 2 of those long-haired cats. And, one is black. He left a black "splotch" of hair wherever he laid. So, I brush him every day at least once, and most times, twice. I bought 3 of those micro-fiber throws, and I put them down on his favorite spots to lay, and, of course, on the bed. It works! When I know company is coming, I pick up the throws while they are visiting. Right now, at this time of the year, those micro-fiber throws are on sale all over.

I have a serious cat hair problem...any cat lovers out there?

all three of my cats take turns to sleep on our quilt and i currently have a blue cover on my bed which shows up both the balck and white hairs my lot lose everyday. i have taken to putting a throw over my bed which has cut it down but one gets underneath this for a cosy nap so it doesn't prevent it altogether. i can't use chemicals but have also found a humidifier on our radiator does help to and if you want you can add scented oils like lavender to this. good luck in finding a solution

I have a serious cat hair problem...any cat lovers out there?

Same problem. When I am not home, I throw a plain white sheet over my bed to protect the duvet cover. Also, if you don't want kitty on the bed at all, try small sachet bags of potpourri. Just toss them on the bed when you leave. I used some lavender from my garden, put it in little cloth bags and place them on the bed.

I have a serious cat hair problem...any cat lovers out there?

lint roll the cats.. i do it to mine it really works and he doesn't mind it (too much)

I have a serious cat hair problem...any cat lovers out there?

how about a small blanket or sheet at the bottom of the bed and rub it with some catnip - perhaps they will choose to lay there instead of on your comforter???

good luck

i have 4 cats %26amp; keep my bedroom door closed all the time cause i am allergic to the hair, and i have a hard time sleeping if they lay all over my bed.

good luck!

I have a serious cat hair problem...any cat lovers out there?

Make sure your cats don't sleep on it and get something else for them to sleep in.

I have a serious cat hair problem...any cat lovers out there?

To protect the quilt my boyfriend's grandmother made him, we put my old comforter from college over it when we're gone.

I have a serious cat hair problem...any cat lovers out there?

I use the attachment on my vacuum that has a lint brush on it (red fabric that is smooth when you rub one way and rough when you rub another). That works great for my for cleaning the couches (one really attracts that cat hair), cat beds, and my bed. A regular hand held lint brush (not roller) also works great.

It seems like cats always prefer to sleep on whatever material is going to catch and trap lose cat hair lol

I have a serious cat hair problem...any cat lovers out there?

either shave or varnish the cat

I have a serious cat hair problem...any cat lovers out there?

we have a white long hair cat..and her fur is everywhere..but on the bed what helped stop this problem...is we got her a bed we put it on the bed.and also at walmart got her some sheepfur looking things ...that are supposed to attract the hair..and they do help..you can wash those and they dont loose their hair attracting power..lol...

I have a serious cat hair problem...any cat lovers out there?

The cheapest thing I can think of (and I do this myself) is get one of those rubber/silicon grips for kitchen cooking (potholder). Use this to rub down your cover, and it will pull off the hair quickly.

It is a lifesaver for my furniture (longhair cats and a pug, big-time shedders)

I have a serious cat hair problem...any cat lovers out there?

I have two persian cats, one solid white and one solid black. The white one loves my bed. He leaves fur everywhere despite being combed everyday. I found an old towel where he sleeps on when he's on my bed. It's worked for me. Maybe it will work for you.

I have a serious cat hair problem...any cat lovers out there?

How about the Furminator?? While this won't help immediately with the hair on the cover at least it will help reduce (significantly) the amount of fur that they shed. There is one specifically designed for cats.

If you haven't heard of it, it is this grooming comb that removes the dead undercoat. It has been approved by Tufts School of Veterinary Medicine (one of the best in the country) at reducing shedding and hairballs. It is a little expensive ($35 I think) but well worth it. It works on both long and short hair cats.

I love it!!! Check out the website. They have demos!

I have a serious cat hair problem...any cat lovers out there?

I have the same problem with some sheets I just bought. 600 count Seeley sheets in maroon. I have never seen any fabric pick up so much lint and pet hair. I, too, have a king sized bed, and using a lint remover every night is not practical - it takes about ten sheets every time to clean it off. Then I put the comforter down and the sheets are full of hair again.

Have you had any good suggestions for other types of fabric or anything to remedy this situation? I love my cats, but this is disgusting!

How secretion of testosterone cause hair falling for men?

In the documentary series named "Human Body" from BBC, it is mention by the anchor that secretion of testosterone hormone is the cause of hair falling for men. However did not give any detail on how it works and is this related to masturbation?

can anyone give scientific answers?

How secretion of testosterone cause hair falling for men?

i heard due to the over production of the sex hormone there is no sufficiet ingridients for the hait too grow which makes it fall

One reason for over production is excess mastrubation

How secretion of testosterone cause hair falling for men?

Masturmation has NOTHING to do with this. Testosterone is a hormone, and the body has thousands of them. Perhaps you need to have your sugar checked as insulin is the largest hormone in your whole body. Insulin resistence (precursor to diabetes, type 2) is often the culprit of hair loss or mail patern baldness. You need a C-peptide test performed by your doctor.

Good Luck!

How secretion of testosterone cause hair falling for men?

What causes hair loss in men?

Male hair loss is the most common type of hair loss. It is caused by increased sensitivity to male sex hormones (androgens) in certain parts of the scalp, and is passed on from generation to generation. In the past, baldness was often seen as something unfortunate or undesirable. However, this attitude has changed over the years and nowadays a clean-shaven head is usually considered both fashionable and attractive.

Some men have areas on the scalp that are very sensitive to the male sex hormones that circulate in men's blood. The hormones make the hair follicles - from which hair grows - shrink. Eventually, they become so small that they cannot replace lost hairs. The follicles are still alive, but are no longer able to perform their task.

The condition usually starts in men aged 20 to 30 and follows a typical pattern. First, a receding hairline develops, and gradually the hair on top of the head also begins to thin. Eventually, the two balding areas meet to form a typical U-shape around the back and sides of the head. The hair that remains is often finer, and does not grow as quickly as it used to.

More information on hair loss

What causes hair loss? - One of the primary causes of hair loss is a high amount of the male hormone, dihydrotestosterone (DHT) within the hair follicle. The most important cause of hair loss is inadequate nutrition.

What are the symptoms of hair loss? - Hair loss can occur as hair thinning, without hairs noticeably falling out, or as hair shedding, with clumps of hair falling out.

What's the hair loss remedy to stop hair loss? - Appropriate treatment options depend upon the type of alopecia. Aggressiveness of the treatment depends on the patient's attitude and must be weighed against potential side effects.

What causes hair loss in men? - Male hair loss is caused by increased sensitivity to male sex hormones (androgens) in certain parts of the scalp, and is passed on from generation to generation.

What treatments are there for hair loss in men? - There are two drugs approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to treat male-pattern baldness: minoxidil and finasteride (Propecia).

What is female pattern hair loss? - In female pattern hair loss some excess loss of hair is noted, but gradual thinning is what is what usually brings the woman to a dermatologist.

What are the female pattern hair loss treatment therapies? - Currently, the only FDA approved hair loss treatment for women is Rogaine (2% Minoxidil).

What is hair life cycle? - The life cycle of a hair is divided into three phases. The actively growing (Anagen) phase, the transitional (Catagen) phase, and the resting (Telogen) phase.

How Minoxidil (Rogaine) hair loss medication works? - Minoxidil (Rogaine) is a drug available in two forms to treat different conditions. Oral minoxidil is used to treat high blood pressure and the topical solution form is used to treat hair loss and baldness.

How Propecia (finasteride) hair loss medication works? - Propecia (finasteride) is prescribed to men for the treatment of male pattern baldness. Propecia is classed as a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor, an enzyme which changes testosterone to dihydrotestosterone in the liver.

What is hair transplant? - Hair transplantation refers to the surgical movement of permanent hair with its roots to an area of bald or balding skin.

What nutritional supplements are available for hair loss prevention? - Good nutrition can go a long way in helping you keep your halo of hair. B vitamins in particular are crucial to healthy sebum production and new cell generation.

Is it true dogs and cats' hair will fall if consumed salty food?

I have never heard that where did you hear that?

Is it true dogs and cats' hair will fall if consumed salty food?

I don't know about their hair falling out, but no, this isn't good for them. A bit here and there won't hurt, but dogs and cats should only get table scraps that are not processed, salty, sugary, fatty, or greasy. These kind of foods will certainly make their coats and skin yucky if they eat a lot of it.

If that excludes most of the table scraps at your house, you might want to think a little more about what you're putting in your own body too! :D

Is it true dogs and cats' hair will fall if consumed salty food?

Salt is really bad for cats, their systems don't process it like ours do, I had a siomease cat that died from urinary problems due to salt. His favorite food was olives. I don't know for sure about dogs, but my sister in laws perents have a small breed dog that is like 15 years old and they feed her table scraps all the time, I don't think she even eats dog food. Just remember to give your pets lots of fresh water if you are going to feed them table scraps because it will make them thirsty.

Is it true dogs and cats' hair will fall if consumed salty food?

No.. that is not true.. Probably one of those myths that started years ago.

Is it true dogs and cats' hair will fall if consumed salty food?

Its ok once in a while.. Not too much times.

Barring your religious beliefs, what's the next step in human evolution?

From a scientific point of view, how are humans expected to evolve over the next 100-1000 years? From being able to walk upright, to losing body hair, all the way to learning how to become civil and communicate with written and spoken languages, the human as we know it today is bound to change in the future. What features will we gain/lose as a result of evolution? Will we gain that "6th sense"? How about an increase in brain size?

I'd be interested to hear your answers because I have not found much research about this on the internet. How we've evolved, yes. How we will evolve, no.

Serious answers please. I don't need to know that we will start growing 48 pairs of arms to multi-task!

Barring your religious beliefs, what's the next step in human evolution?

In all likelihood, the next step(s) in human evolution will be directed by humans, not by natural selection. Already, in the few centuries since the scientific revolution (roughly, starting with Newton and accelerated by Pasteur and his germ theory of disease) humans have taken measures to move away from raw survival of the fittest. The eradicating of certain diseases, the invention of vaccines, antibiotics -- all are examples of developments not found in "nature." And just as mankind has guided its evolution in the short run (a few hundred years is far too short a period to see natural selection at work in human beings), in the coming years the decoding of the human genome will make possible selection for a given trait -- blue eyes, musical ability, athletic prowess, you name it. Almost every week some new gene is discovered that controls or influences a physical manifestation, and it is inevitable that humans, given the choice, will opt for more desirable characteristics such as height, immunity to diseases, and intelligence. On the lighter side, baldness will be a thing of the past...

Barring your religious beliefs, what's the next step in human evolution?

Evolution is often the result of successful adaptation. Therefore, it seems likely to me that the next step in human evolution will be the result of environmental degradation. When the environmental collapse occurs, whether that is through ecological disaster, rampant disease, nuclear holocaust, drought and famine, etc., some humans will survive. And they will then evolve in order to adapt to the conditions in which they must live. I don't really see any way to predict exactly what will occur, or in the absence of some world altering event or process, what would occur naturally. That's because if it does not occur reactively, evolution is likely to occur through some kind of random mutation which provides an advantage. What that might be is also hard to predict. Super intuitives might have an advantage, but more likely super resistance to disease. And there seem to be features that may naturally fade away. Our little toe isn't much good to us. Poorer vision will continue to be supported as technology increases. The old appendix has got to go at some point. But we're talking 1000s of years rather than 100s. Interesting question - lots of science fiction in this area.

Barring your religious beliefs, what's the next step in human evolution?

Good, yet challenging question.

It's very difficult to guess even if human evolution will take place at all.

Technology provides to humanity protection against many natural challenges today. So the natural selection of the fittest features is more and more faint.

Barring your religious beliefs, what's the next step in human evolution?

I have thought about this many times. This is my conclusion as of now:

Human beings will reduce in body size. There are disadvantages in having bigger size. The "space" factor is very much important in all walks of life such as air travel, housing, and so on and people who have smaller size have advantage over others. Minute reasons such as "It is too cumbersome for me to travel" will prevent huge people from going for better opportunities and successful life.

The machines and electronic stuff that has not only taken away the importance of heavy work but also work better with smaller and softer people also helps this trend.

Remember, evolution is not the result of 閳ユ辅anting or requiring for betterment閳? but the result of elimination of the weaker sections of the species in the changing conditions. Hence the question of developing a sixth sense or increasing the brain size does not arise, unless lack of a 閳ユ笩ixth閳?sense proves disadvantages to a section of human race etc

Okay this is enough for now. More later. I am learning English

How do I convince a Human Resources Manager about my co-workers awful behavior towards me?

I work in a Hotel as a Hostess and a Cashier. I try as hard as I can to be ambitious and efficient to my daily responsibilities. I have requested for a promotion to another department on my 6th month which is in July...one of the main reasons was for a better salary, cause of my good and various past experience. But the negative reason about my decesion is because of the poor and unwelcome bahavior some co-workers have with me. Of course I reported them to Human resourses...but the only solution I got was to realise the HR Manager to remain Neutral and make us forgive each other...or express her perseption as a miss-communication between us...

Today while even helping these two restaurant servers I stoped for a momment to fix my ponny tail and retie my hair back...one turns and she tells the other one in spanish not knowing that I understand the language..."ella es fea"..."she is so ugly"...at that momment I froze! and of course there was a commotion as the story goes on. So...?

How do I convince a Human Resources Manager about my co-workers awful behavior towards me?

File a letter of complaint and put in details what you are experiencing and find some witnesses that can attest on to the truth of the situation. Submit to the Human Resources Dept and send a copy to your supervisor, manager, anyone with higher auhority.

How do I convince a Human Resources Manager about my co-workers awful behavior towards me?

Tell her to stop being so paranoid and come and spy on everybody you run into, or you will bring a chainsaw to work.

How do I convince a Human Resources Manager about my co-workers awful behavior towards me?

If they dont listen to you then you have the right to go to your union leader and complain and they will do something about them.

How do I convince a Human Resources Manager about my co-workers awful behavior towards me?

Part of being eligible for a promotion in the workforce is learning how to handle those problems and still be efficent in your job. Running to the human resource manager with every little thing that someone does to you or say's to you will hold you back for promotion. Simply say something to the girl's in private (so that customer's do not hear) when they make a remark about you and realize that it is mostly jealousy that makes people say negative things about someone else. Learn to not let it bother you and do the best job that you can for your employer with a bright smile and a good attitude. The more you stay out of offices with personal issues the faster you will get promoted. hen you hear these girls make negative comments about you ....perceive them as positive comments because it really means that you are doing such a great job that they are jealous of you and have to find ways to tear you down. If you continue to fall for it ...it is your own fault that you are not getting promoted.

How do I convince a Human Resources Manager about my co-workers awful behavior towards me?

I think there is a book, How to Deal with Difficult People. Look it up on amazon.com.

I think that there a times in life when you just have to manage your feelings about people who don't like you. Maybe they are jealous of you; it certainly sounds like they have a lot to be jealous about. Hard feelings toward other people often are derived from fear that those people will get ahead. Keep working hard. If need be, look for another job or a promotion out of where you are. Good luck. Peace.

How do I convince a Human Resources Manager about my co-workers awful behavior towards me?

The short answer is that you don't convince her. You have to realize that the world is full of obnoxious people and sometimes we have to deal with them the best way we can. The fact that your coworker is acting like a schoolgirl is her problem. When you are 4 steps up the management ladder, she'll still be down in the gutter making her snide remarks to some other poor person that is just trying to do her job. I'm guessing she just feels threatened because she sees that you are doing a good job which makes her look worse at doing hers. Consider it as an unintended compliment...you are doing a good enough job to be noticed! Good luck and hopefully you'll end up being her boss one day. You can have the pleasure of firing her yourself.

How do I convince a Human Resources Manager about my co-workers awful behavior towards me?

Keep a log and note EVERYTHING in writing!! Write down dates and every word said. Let these things build up over the course of time, then take your notes to the HR person. The longer you are there and the better your reputation becomes, the more she is apt to see your point of view. However, no supervisor will want to waste time and energy worrying about your peers not "liking " you. That is just something you may have to bear. Your supervisor will be more apt to be concerned about these co-workers doing things that affect the customers or the company in a negative way. If things like that occur, be sure to keep track of them in your logbook. When they have piled up a big bunch of "bad behaviors", go to the boss with that. That is how you will have the best luck of getting moved away from those "Harpies"!!!

How do I convince a Human Resources Manager about my co-workers awful behavior towards me?

Start keeping a log book of all the times this type of behavior happens.

After a month of this log, rediscuss it with the HR manager. He'll become a little bit more concerned because you are able to show a pattern over time rather than just discussing haphazard incidents.

How do I convince a Human Resources Manager about my co-workers awful behavior towards me?

The best way to get your complaints heard and something done about them is to document everything that happens....the time, place, people involved, what was said or done, etc. That way you have proof so to speak. Then you can take it to your supervisor and show them exactly what happened, who was there, etc. They can confirm it by looking at schedules, etc. That is the most professional way to handle it. Otherwise, I'd say to ignore them and just keep smiling at them and act like they don't bother you at all. This will drive them crazy and when they can't upset you anymore they will get bored and move on to something else. Good luck.

What is the future of human evolution?

Human changes the environment, instead of the environment changes us ( We invented AC to cool down instead of losing more hair). Does this mean we reach the end of evolution?

What is the future of human evolution?

A super virus will take us all out one day.

Coach

What is the future of human evolution?

Humanity will commit suicide if we continue our crazy mode of live

What is the future of human evolution?

If something is not done about the way we are treating mother earth, total self destruction in several hundred years.

What is the future of human evolution?

these answers arent evolution... look at how much bigger, smarter and stronger we have gotten over the past generations. Selective breeding will help us follow down this path

What is the future of human evolution?

You'll get your answer before long - - - like a couple of million years.

What is the future of human evolution?

There is no end to evolution other than extinction. Without strong selective pressure physical traits may not define fitness. Little things we didn't anticipate may create the greatest advantages.

What is the future of human evolution?

now, that is what I call a real brain-teaser: It plugs into a lot of topics: Theology, evolutionary history, sociology and biotechnology:

(I'll skip theology: It is a pretty touchy subject)

Evolutionary history:

Species have always evolved to adapt to the changing environment. To quote from Jurassic Park: "Life always finds a way". A lot of historians like to believe tha the human brain is shrinking and therefore evolving. It also shows in the way the generations are speeding up in intelligence and adaptation. I am definitely smarter than my father, and my kids would be smarter than me. Why I mention the brain in particular is, that the evolution of intellligence is the single most evident hallmark of human evolution from Ice to stone to Iron to machine to Information age, and is the single biggest differentiator in evolution. So the future humans could be expected to be (by our standards), superlatively intelligent, capable of solving complex problems easily.

Sociology and Environment:

Considering that the adaptaion of species to the natural changes in the environment are a historically proven fact, we also need to take into account the "Artificial" changes in the environment introduced by humans, like environmental changes introduced by pollution, fast dont-give-a-damn lifestyles, and "complete delegation" of intelligence to intelligent machines like computers. These could actually offset the natural process of evolution as dictated by Darwin's theories

Biotechnology:

Now, this is what introduces the unpredictable kink in all the above arguments. With new technologies like Genetic Modification and cloning, we are not very far away from "Made-to-order" offsprings, that carry a particular set of human characteristics as dominant features, bound to make the others recessive. The whole process proposes to catalyze (or, as some people put it, "Interfere with"), the natural evolutionary process.

From what I can visualize, humans a few score years (mark you, not a few thousand), will have to have the following characteristics:

1. Huge lungs and much-developed respiratory systems, to filter out from teh air all the pollutants

2. Extremely developed brains and neural structures, 'cos that tops the charts on the parents' wish list for their kids, and GM can do it

3. much weaker limbs and skeleto-muscular structures, owing to much lesser use left for them (Our generation already suffers from Ortho-problems at 40)

4. Smaller and less potent digestive systems, owing toi more and more "Pure" foods that we continue to ingest: Pure fats, pure carbohydrates, pure protiens, pure vitamins, All in isolation, unlike what mother nature has to offer in terms of, for example greens and fruits.

(Unless, of course, nature suddenly finds a way to retort, or a meteor strikes us: long live the doomsayers!!)

Why is beauty criteria nowadays (in USA) all about fakeries? Hair, skin and eye color, nails, boobs,

I see women who are supposed to be beautiful but their hair is fake, with hair extensions and coloring, their eyelashes are fake and glued on, over fake contact lenses to change the color of their eyes, their nails are fake, their boobs are made out of water, their teeth are straightened, bleached and as white as snow, their skin is artificially tan or covered in make up, they have implants everywhere and even their smile is fake...

It's like the less human you look, the better...are we going into the android age by starting to make humans look like dolls?

Why is beauty criteria nowadays (in USA) all about fakeries? Hair, skin and eye color, nails, boobs, teeth...

i do not like fake i like real women. i really don't like makeup (well certain stuff) it is not only the time it takes to put it on but you are not suppose to look different supposedly. i am sorry if this was an all girl thing

Why is beauty criteria nowadays (in USA) all about fakeries? Hair, skin and eye color, nails, boobs, teeth...

It is because the media portrays women as paperdoll skinny, and we are all trying to look and act like celebrities. It is very sad.

Why is beauty criteria nowadays (in USA) all about fakeries? Hair, skin and eye color, nails, boobs, teeth...

I hate it too because I cant afford to compete. Im a big fake too.Colored hair, clear contacts,no coke bottles glasses, capped teeth but the thing if we did nothing we would look awful.Men seem to like fake. Its a fantasy.I cant afford all the surgery though.

Is there a latent neanderthal gene that is still lurking in the human gene pool?

and who do you feel here in the USA political landscape are likely carriers of this gene that make them seem more like chest beating, club carrying, drag em by the hair, dem bad us good, uninformed emotional responders rather than thoughtful 21st century human being?

Is there a latent neanderthal gene that is still lurking in the human gene pool?

George will only be there for another year

Is there a latent neanderthal gene that is still lurking in the human gene pool?

It's not latent...look at any liberal--"Me want health care--me beat money out of you and take healthcare."

Is there a latent neanderthal gene that is still lurking in the human gene pool?

All you have to do is look at John Kerry's head for that answer.

Is there a latent neanderthal gene that is still lurking in the human gene pool?

Yes. Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, John Kerry and Nancy Pelosi have it.

Is there a latent neanderthal gene that is still lurking in the human gene pool?

I thought that we weren't descendants of neanderthals and are instead a different species

Is there a latent neanderthal gene that is still lurking in the human gene pool?

To the original question, as we are the result of Intelligent Design, then yes, we could have neanderthal genes in us, just as we could have anunaki genes (the fallen angel genes). Thus, enabling the rise of demonic behaviors.

The most demonic of the candidates that I know at this time is Hillary (promise breaker) Clinton.

Is there a latent neanderthal gene that is still lurking in the human gene pool?

Most Republicans

Is there a latent neanderthal gene that is still lurking in the human gene pool?

I believe it's more of a social snafu. People believe what they want and often what they don't understand is rounded off to the nearest emotion.Genetics takes too long to 'make a difference', even though more profound. In other words, instant gratification.

(It's the hang over that's regrettable.)

Is there a latent neanderthal gene that is still lurking in the human gene pool?

there is not thoughtful 21 st century human being here

but do be informed that all the headhunter tribes here are using handphone now so we are on the right track to the thoughtful 22 rd century man

Is there a latent neanderthal gene that is still lurking in the human gene pool?

Have yet to see any evidence of that other than the television commercias for insurance; over the last twenty years, but consider look at eharmony if you are seeking friendships.

Is there a latent neanderthal gene that is still lurking in the human gene pool?

According to homonid evolution,

H. Neanderthalensis and H. Sapiens branched off of H. Heidelbergensis. So any latent genes would come from Heidelbergensis, not Neanderthalensis.

"While the debate remains unsettled, evidence from mitochondrial DNA and Y-chromosomal DNA sequencing indicates that little or no gene flow occurred between H. neanderthalensis and H. sapiens, and, therefore, the two were separate species." - Wikipedia human evolution

Heidelbergensis may have been cannibals. I can see H. Clinton going to Sharpton's place for a little human buffet. It takes a village to braise a child?

Is there a latent neanderthal gene that is still lurking in the human gene pool?

It goes a lot further back than Neanderthals. It goes back to the first organism that killed another organism to survive. The survival instinct in higher intellectual circles leads to the desire to dominate. This desire is suppressed by those who prefer to use their brains to determine reality. Those who choose to dominate choose to ignore their brains and operate from the lower level genes.

Long Hair Cat?

I have a long hair cat who is SO afraid of the new dog in the house, that he hides a lot. We pet him as often as he'll let us, but his fur has become matted %26amp; yucky.

We have cut most of it off, but my husband wants to shave the cat. We have had this done in the past @ the vet. We do not want to take him to the vet because he is already so stressed out (b/c of the dog).

My question: Can I use a 'human' trimmer or do I need to get a 'special' cat trimmer (like from PetSmart/Pet CO)?

Thanks!

Long Hair Cat?

Cats have very tender and thin skin

Don't use a human trimmer, you may end up at the emergency cat hospital, imagine the added stress then

My suggestion is to also get a cat calming product ( not a drug) from a Pet Smart and use it to deal with the stress first

Long Hair Cat?

i would get a smaller on at pet co there like $10

Long Hair Cat?

Does your huband have a beard or mustache trimmer (NOT the same as electric hair clippers)?

I used my dad's to shave a very small clump of matted fur off of my long-haired cat and it worked very well (it was relatively quiet, too, so it didn't scare her).
